Grammar fix

feeling down

feeling sad

A gentle, informal way to say you feel sad or low, without it being too serious.

expressionB1common

Hear it in context

Notice where the phrase sounds natural.

I've been feeling a bit down all week, to be honest.

A: You seem quiet today — everything okay?
B: I'm just feeling a bit down, that's all.

Fix the pattern

One small grammar move makes it sound right.

Not: I'm feeling down myself today.

Say: I'm feeling a bit down today.

Soften it with 'a bit', and don't add 'myself' — 'feeling down' already means about yourself.
