Daily life
exactly what I needed
the perfect thing
You say something was exactly what you needed when it was perfect for your situation or made you feel better.
Hear it in real life
You look much better.
The afternoon nap was exactly what I needed.
That quiet weekend was exactly what I needed after a stressful month.
The mistake everyone makes
Not: That quiet weekend was exact what I needed.
Say: That quiet weekend was exactly what I needed.
“Exactly” modifies “what I needed”; “exact” is an adjective and does not fit here.
Build it
How it fits in a sentence.
be exactly what I need; be exactly what I needed
Your turn: say it out loud
That quiet weekend was exactly what I needed after a stressful month.
Say it out loud two or three times, until it feels like yours.
exactly what I needed
the perfect thing
“That quiet weekend was exactly what I needed after a stressful month.”
